Vivo has confirmed that the T5 Lite 5G will launch in India on July 16 at 12 PM IST, arriving via Flipkart and the brand's official website as the second phone in the T5 series after the T5 Pro and T5x. Ahead of launch, Vivo has confirmed the phone's battery and charging specifications through a dedicated Flipkart microsite.
The T5 Lite 5G will pack a 6,500mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge support, an upgrade over the T4 Lite 5G's 6,000mAh cell and its considerably slower 15W charging. Vivo has also confirmed the phone will be offered in Sky Blue and Dark Blue colour options.
The chipset is yet to be officially confirmed. A Geekbench listing for the device points to an octa-core MediaTek processor, and multiple reports suggest it will be either the Dimensity 6300 or Dimensity 6400. The phone is also widely expected to be a rebadged version of the iQOO Z11 Lite 5G, which is set to launch in India a week later, on July 24.
The rest of the specifications remain unconfirmed for now. Leaks point to a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits, a 50MP primary rear camera with a secondary sensor, a 5MP front camera, and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. Storage is tipped to be offered across 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 6GB+256GB configurations.
On software, reports suggest the phone will run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, along with AI features such as AI Creation, AI Transcript Assist, and Private Space, though Vivo has not confirmed this officially.
Vivo has not announced pricing for the T5 Lite 5G. Its predecessor, the T4 Lite 5G, launched at Rs 9,999 last year, and current estimates place the T5 Lite 5G's starting price under Rs 20,000. Vivo is expected to reveal more hardware details in the days leading up to the July 16 launch.
